How a Custom Piece Comes to Life
1. Show me your space
Send photos, dimensions, and anything else that helps me get a feel for it. Ceiling height, lighting, weird angles, all of it. Inspiration images are great too. That can be stuff you’ve found or pieces from my work that you’re drawn to. Color, shape, overall vibe. Just give me something to go on. (Check out my gallery for more inspiration!)
2. Rough ideas
I’ll come back with 2 to 3 loose sketches. These are just starting points. Nothing precious yet. You can pull from each one. Color from this, shape from that, scale from another. This part is about figuring out what direction feels right.
3. Dialing it in
Once I have your feedback, I’ll put together a more resolved sketch or rendering. This is where it starts to feel like an actual piece designed specifically for your space.
4. Final details + budget
When the design feels solid, I lock in the size, materials, and fabrication approach. Then I send over a final price based on all of that. It’s also helpful to know at the beginning if you have a rough budget in mind!
5. Build phase
I make everything by hand and assemble it piece by piece. Depending on the size, this can take a few weeks. I’ll keep you in the loop as it comes together.
6. Installation
I handle installation myself, sometimes with an assistant. I bring whatever is needed, including scaffolding and tools, and take care of any electrical work if it is part of the piece. The goal is to make it easy on your end and get everything installed exactly how it should be.
